What’s on My Phone (Part #5)

We continue our exploration of the Aun music collection with more albums and recordings currently on my phone. Given limited time available today, we’ll just cover one performance.

Negativland + SUE-C • Tuesday, March 23rd Ann Arbor Film Festival

Negativland is one of the bands on the Nurse With Wound list of lesser known artists to check out. It’s a sound collage with a sociopolitical statement. Abstractions, satire, concrete messages, and a bit of sarcasm combine with a visual performance to create a masterpiece.

The audio itself is a bit incomplete and has quite a few dead spots that weren’t dead due to the visual elements in the show. Audio or video form, it’s still definitely worth checking out.
