Steam Review: Crafting Block World

It’s Minecraft if Minecraft was single player, had no content or community, and only had the first hour of developed content. Avoid this one.

Crafting Block World is a Minecraft clone released September 4th, 2019 and abanonded before the end of that year. It currently has 42% positive reviews on Steam, and this percentage is significantly lower when adjusting for positive reviews that are obvious meme reviews. It’s currently free and claims to offer unlimited worlds and sandbox activities. It has achievements but no cards. Let’s see how it holds up.

We are presented with the above screen to start. Three different worlds but no explanation about the differences. The bottom left of the screen has an icon for VK — the Russian Facebook-like social media platform — which is a sign of potential trouble.

There is no tutorial. E opens crafting. Tab opens inventory. No way to rebind the keys. The crafting options are very, very basic and even once you reach level 15, the variety of items you can craft are…
