Steam Game Review 2023: Traffic Safety

Traffic Safety is a May 2022 release by serial asset flipper and possible money launderer TigerQiuQiu. Unlike other titles, there are only 5 paid DLCs. Many other titles by this creature of unknown origin have literally hundreds of paid DLCs which consist of typically a low effort map per DLC. This game purports to educate the player on traffic safety. Perhaps TigerQiuQiu has finally found a niche in the edutainment market?

Traffic safety includes five minigames on par with low level university game development assignments one might complete as part of a weekly exercise. The first title teaches you about traffic safety by letting you move a spaceship across the screen with asteroids that lack collision. The score increases at the same rate regardless of what you do and you can’t die. Presumably, the way to get a high score here is to let the game run until the score gets to the highest possible number before it overflows. Nothing at all worthwhile here.

Then we have this tank traffic safety minigame where you dodge bombs. The tank can either be stopped or it moves at a fixed speed. At least there is collision here but same as the previous minigame, the score increases by a set rate no…
