Asteroids ++ is a single player game based on the classic arcade game but with a variety of skills and weapons purchasable between battles. Each battle occurs in a zone which consists of multiple waves. Each planet consists of multiple zones and when all zones for a planet are won, the planet is liberated. You can configure a variety of load outs, albeit you’ll discover quite quickly that certain weapons and perks are much better than others. Difficulty scales appropriately. The sound and music is of acceptable quality.

Infiland currently only has this game and The Colorful Creature available on Steam. While I can’t attest to the quality of the latter, this game is a fun and fresh take on the arcade classic. If you’re into 2D classic arcade games, roguelikes, and 2D space combat games, this title likely offers something for you.
