It’s Been Awhile

I’ve been on an extended hiatus while I resolved life issues. My ex-wife (and at the time roommate) and I were not given the option to renew the lease at the house we rented. She moved back in with her family but with less than a month until our move out date, she returned due to the living situation with her family falling through. I made the choice of putting my limited funds towards ensuring she had a place to stay and decided to adopt a nomad lifestyle. Convenient for me, I spent the past few months selling off excess stuff I collected over the years. Everything went into storage, she moved into her new place, and I’m essentially starting over in life from what most would consider a low point: lousy credit rating, very little savings, no car, etc.

I’ve spent the entirety of June as being technically homeless. Oddly enough, the issues that have arisen weren’t the ones I expected. The United States Postal Service (USPS) somehow managed to lose all of the mail I asked them to hold for June so far which included two paychecks. I lost access to a bank account due to a misunderstanding. I tried to get a P.O. Box at USPS but due to not having house deed, current lease, or anything else establishing residency I’ve been unable to. The only real stress so far has been related to the combination of USPS and banking. Oh yeah — a bout of pneumonia too.

As I ease myself back into writing, I’ll be posting here about video games and music occasionally. The “Steam Game Per Day” experiment lasted until March 14th and will not return. I’ll also be posting about my…
