First Impressions of Random Steam Games (Sept 2024 #4): More Random Games

CanisGames is back with another cheap asset flip that includes a border collie. This asset flip was quickly tossed together in ClickTeam Fusion 2.5. The dog asset is too large. Otherwise, it’s a very below average horizontal shooter.. when it works.

The scoreboard also stopped working and for some reason I was allowed to shoot this weapon from the start just by tapping spacebar quickly. The end of first level boss was immune to it, though. Completely broken game. Avoid.

Royal Idiots is a formerly buy-to-play, now free-to-play 3rd person multiplayer shooter developed by Epitaph Games. Six weapons are available. There’s a solo mode with zombies. Multiplayer does not appear to work anymore. The game was released in 2022 and no longer receives updates.

The graphics are consistent but low quality, seemingly trying to copy a voxel-style made popular by Minecraft. The sound effects are very generic but they work. It’s difficult to aim with the weapons and the zombies in the zombie mode have a spawn rate and pattern that’s nearly impossible to survive. Playing this game is…
