A Steam Game Per Day (March 1st)

Entasy Online is a 2D pixel art action MMORPG that appears to be a possible mobile port and/or developed by a solo developer. Enes Tokdemir is listed as the developer, so I’ll presume it’s a solo developer project. As such, it’s actually not bad. Everything works, balancing isn’t awful, the world has interesting moments to explore, and the mechanics are fairly intuitive. If this were an Itch.io or GameJolt project, I’d be giving a fair amount of praise.

However, it’s a Steam title — a platform with much higher expectations. Just in the indie pixel art MMORPG space, there are better titles including Leafling, Kaion Tale, Kakele, and numerous others. Megania Online, while a worse game overall, is (or was) further along in development than this title.

If you are willing to accept a fair amount of bugs and a slow pace of progress, this might be a title worth checking out to support the developer. If you want a full-featured, top tier MMORPG — this definitely isn’t it.

5/10 — Mixed
