A Steam Game Per Day (Feb 7th —10th)
Turtle Racer is a team student project from the Transdisciplinary Data Scholars Development Program at Bethune-Cookman University. There’s a freeroam and a race mode. Only basic configuration options relating to volume levels. As a student project, it’s definitely deserving of a passing grade.
The problem is we are on Steam and not merely grading this as a semester project. As a game on Steam, it’s very simplistic, not very well optimized, and lacks replay value. It’s better than many edutainment titles but as a game in it’s own right, it’s just not really that fun.
It’s free. Perhaps it would be worthwhile for a child who has an interest in marine biology?
Sweety Boy is one of the lesser known asset flippers on Steam. I can’t verify with certainty whether or not this game is an asset flip. I can verify that it has controls that are frustrating and levels designed to kill you before you even realize your placement on the screen.
