A Steam Game Per Day (Feb 11 & 12th)
These will be very brief, given I’ve fallen quite far behind in actually writing about the game per day I’ve been playing from Steam. Admittedly, I’m about a month ahead on playing / scoring the game-per-day games. Time to buckle down and get caught up with two more quick reviews.
Pong except the ball is a furry head, the physics are on par with an early undergraduate programming assignment and the AI is terrible. Skip this one.
It’s at least free and has online leaderboards and multiplayer. However, unless your time has absolutely no value whatsoever, this is not a bargain.
Thank you Knight Studio for the free copy of this game via Steam Curator Connect. Out of five reviews thus far, only mine stands as negative. There are negative curator reviews, though.
It somehow manages to capture the worst of late 80s micro and mobile platformers in the same title. Poor controls, graphics that are mostly average but have some quite awful sprites (i.e. fire), and music straight from the depths of Comcast/Xfinity’s phone support “you’re on hold” archive make this title a not recommended one.
